Dr. Maria Pantelia of U.C. Irvine and Dr. Roland Moore of Prevention
Research Center, Berkeley are responsible for the website and welcome
suggestions for improvement. Dr. Vangelis Calotychos and other members
of the MGSA Board have been instrumental in providing ideas for the
website.
People in and out of the MGSA freely offered their help. Their generous contributions have made the publication of the survey reports possible.
Many respondents, members and non-members of the MGSA, have made the task of compiling the survey easier. A good number of people thoughtfully provided clear-to-read and accurate information on their own activities or those of the programs with which they are affiliated.
Within the MGSA the following people worked hard on the survey: John Iatrides, Roland Moore and Dia Philippides; additional help came from Peter Bien, John Chioles, Dimitri Gondicas, Edmund Keeley, Artemis Leontis, Lily Macrakis, Maria Pantelia, and Manya Voura.
From outside the MGSA came important contributions. At Boston College, where the report was compiled, Prof. M.J. Connolly, Chairman of the Department of Slavic and Eastern Languages, oversaw the entire process of the design on the computer; Mrs. D. Parasirakis, Secretary of the same department, volunteered to do the complete entry of the data into the computer; Mrs. L. Reisman, Secretary of the Department of Classical Studies, was most helpful; several students and graduates worked on the project, in class (Cynthia Athan and Alex Tsianatelis) or as valuable research assistants (Monique Dreger, Angela Sawyer, Athanasia Migos and Despina Pitsis).
The MGSA expresses its sincere gratitude to all the above-mentioned
people and to the institutions which have supported its publications,
including the present one. Generous support was provided by the Greek
Ministry of Culture, the Ioannis F. Kostopoulos Foundation, and the
Foundation for Hellenic Studies of Washington, DC. Particular assistance
was offered at Boston College by the University's Undergraduate Research
Assistant program and the fund given to the Department of Classical
Studies by the Charles and Mary Maliotis Charitable Foundation.
The map was altered from one generously offered to the public by Brandon Plewe (Kinesava Geographics, maker of Virtual Tourist).
