VI. Dissertation/Thesis working title and topic

"A literary analysis of Digenis Akritis according to the Grottaferrata version" In this dissertation, I attempt to compare the protagonist of this text to one text-internal model of behaviour, namely his father, and two intertextual ones: a saint and a novelistic hero. The final scope is a reconsideration of the protagonist’s heroic status.
